I work as a research professor at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Arizona State University (ASU). I serve as the executive director of ASU’s Academy for Justice. I also convene the Academy for Justice Criminal Law Workshop, which brings together criminal justice scholars in the U.S. and Canada.

I am currently on leave from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, Civil Law Section, where I work as an associate professor (tenured).

Previously, I co-directed the uOttawa Public Law Centre. I was also a visiting research fellow and affiliated researcher at NYU’s Center for Human Rights and Global Justice (2016-2019) and a visiting research fellow at Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Law (2021).

Prior to academia, I worked as a police officer in the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (Montreal Police Service), and as a law clerk for the Honourable Justice Brown at the Supreme Court of Canada.

Outside of academia, I train as a hybrid athlete (swim/bike/run + weightlifting). I do not compete. I just love training. I also enjoy cooking, traveling, reading, and writing.

My daily training log is available here.

My blog focuses on hybrid training, mindset, academia, and legal scholarship.
