I work as a research professor at the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, Arizona State University (ASU). I am also the executive director of ASU’s Academy for Justice.
I am currently on leave from the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law, Civil Law Section, where I work as an associate professor. I organize the uOttawa Public Law Centre’s criminal law workshop, which brings together scholars from across Canada.
Previously, I co-directed the uOttawa Public Law Centre. I was also a visiting research fellow and affiliated researcher at NYU’s Center for Human Rights and Global Justice (2016-2019) and a visiting research fellow at Tel Aviv University’s Faculty of Law (2021).
Prior to academia, I worked as a police officer in the Service de Police de la Ville de Montréal (Montreal Police Service), and as a law clerk for the Honourable Justice Brown at the Supreme Court of Canada.
Outside of academia, I train as an endurance athlete (swim, bike, run), and love to cook, travel, read, and write.
My blog focuses on triathlon training, mindset, academia, and legal scholarship.
